KORNATI

"The gods wanted to set a crown upon their work, so on the last day, out of tears, stars and the breath of the sea, they created the Kornati", George Bernard Shaw once wrote while reminiscing about this breathtaking archipelago. This incomparable creation of nature and the largest group of islands in the Mediterranean found its place between the islands which belong to the archipelagos of Zadar and Šibenik. The wild beauty of white karstic rock and the azure sea boasts as many as 240 islets and reefs, each of which has an interesting feature or two. If you seek an experience like no other, then venture into the open sea and discover the Kornati Archipelago.

The full day excursion begins in the early morning. The boat ride lasts for several hours, and guests are accompanied by music, interesting stories and dazzling views of pristine nature. Upon arrival at the National Park, you will have the opportunity to enjoy free time for walking, swimming or admiring the Kornati cliffs and turquoise blue sea depths. After a lunch break in the typical environment of Kornati, the trip ends in the late afternoon. A guide, the National Park entrance fees and lunch are included in the price.

They are a masterpiece of nature like no other, and also the only natural monument in Croatia to be put on the UNESCO World Heritage List, back in 1949, among the first ones in the entire world. Most known for its travertine waterfalls and sixteen cascading lakes which are breathtaking, the Plitvice lakes offer many other attractions, such as various interesting geomorphologic forms, habitat forests and grasslands, flora and fauna and a host of interesting tourist programs, such as walking, hiking, riding on an electric boat and train, photography, cycling and rowing. KRKA

Near Krešimir's city - Šibenik, runs the deep and picturesque canyon of the Krka river, spilling her cool waters into seven noisy and wondrous waterfalls. Between the two most beautiful ones, Roški slap and Skradinski buk (the biggest travertine barrier in Europe), the Franciscan monastery of Visovac is located, housing a valuable library, works of art and numerous precious items. The monastery is also unique for its magical location on the tiny isle set in the middle of the emerald green lake formed by the River Krka. Follow the fabulous trails and discover the marvelous karstic and natural wonders of the River Krka.

EXCURSION SCHEDULE:

The full day excursion includes a visit to the city of Šibenik and the Krka waterfalls. After driving along the coast, the trip starts with a stop at the old town of Šibenik which includes sightseeing of the most beautiful Renaissance cathedral in the Adriatic, and continues to the waterfalls of Krka. There will be ample time for walking, exploring, swimming in the clear river waters, taking photos and relaxing in the shade of old linden trees. In the late afternoon, we will return by taking the bus on the new highway through the Dalmatian hinterland. A guide and the National Park entrance fees are included in the price.

PAKLENICA

Walk the green paths of this truly special world and discover the uniqueness of Paklenica - around 70 caves, archaeological excavations, 150 km of hiking trails and paths for walking or climbing where you will encounter many people from around the world. In a relatively small area you will find an abundance of geomorphologic forms, impressive canyons, diverse wildlife, breathtaking scenes, and the most beautiful thing this trip offers- you'll experience nature as it once was. Located in the southern part of the magical Velebit mountain, Paklenica has a very rich forest world, a special place occupied by pine woods, whose resin, „paklina“, Paklenica got its name from. The unique natural locations once served for the recording of the famous film series about the Indian chief Winnetou, whose wooded paths you can explore as well.

EXCURSION SCHEDULE:

We start the trip by driving from Zadar to Starigrad, located at the foot of the Velebit Mountain. After a shorter stop for panoramic viewing of Starigrad, we will arrive to the entrance of Paklenica National Park, where our walking adventure begins. This is followed by a hike through the canyon with a short break at the Anića luka - departure to the cave "Manita peć" (we will arrive from the parking space to the cave in an hour, and the tour of the cave with a guide lasts 30 minutes). We return to the main path and continue walking through the canyon of Velika Paklenica. In about an hour's time we'll arrive at the Paklenica mountain hut (Planinarski dom, at 480 meters), where we'll have enough time to rest and relax in the shade of ancient trees and enjoy a light meal. After the break, we will return to the reception of the National Park at an easy pace, walking through the canyon by the Paklenica creek. The transportation will be waiting for us.

Recommendation:

We recommend leisure time equipment suitable for the season and the location of the program. Quality and comfortable trekking or sport shoes closed up to the ankles are obligatory for hiking. Clothing should be comfortable and breathable. For programs at sea and in the mountains, we recommend light backup shoes (because of changing after the program). We also recommend walking sticks in the mountains and equipment for swimming in the islands. It is required for each person to have rain equipment (light raincoat), sunscreen (cream and sun glasses), and at least 2 liters of water per person. A guide and the National Park entrance fees are included in the price.
